I recently had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Myrddin, to talk about the command that he founded over 2 years ago - The Ancients - that sadly I missed promoting back in episode 7 of this podcast. During the course of the interview we talked about not only the command but also about the official Stargate Worlds Wiki which he co-founded.

I couldn’t help but comment on the release of the Stargate DVD “The Ark of Truth”, it’s just too good!

The interview that Gateworld.net posted with Christopher Judge, and the recent “Religion in Stargate” discussion thread in the official SGW forums are covered along with cherry-picking the most interesting questions and answers from the first 16 pages of the “Ask the Creative Director” thread in the forums.

Lastly, the episode looks at some of the recent feedback that I’ve received … well done to Loki (of the Australian Stargate Unit) and sgtbenc for correctly guessing the “Easter Egg” that was encoded into recent episodes of the show.

SG1-Radio’s “ZPM” Show (Zero Points Made) show hosted by DJ Tenchi and DJ Wraith had two special guests today: Scepter and BizarroDerek from CME. Questions were invited from the hundreds of fans waiting in the #Stargate-Worlds IRC channel on SGW IRC. A full log of the IRC channel is up on the SGW IRC site where you can see everyone’s enthusiasm and eagerness to get their questions answered and, also, some commentary on the show as it was in progress. I believe that the folks at SGW IRC have also made available their captured log of the audio from the show too.

It looks like CME made quite the splash at the GDC (Game Developers Conference) in San Francisco this last week. Three separate news websites reported on Stargate Worlds - 1UP.com, IGN.com and MMORPG.com - with glowing reports about the in-game trailer that they saw. Gate Buzz Episode 14 gives you the scoop on not only what they had to say, but the recent news of sections of the video being shown as part of interviews given to the Game Trailers website, where we get to see it too. As with Episode 13, there’s still an EASTER EGG hidden in episode 14, let me know if you find what these 2 episodes have that previous podcast episodes didn’t!

I’ve been thinking a lot this week about why some podcasts and blogs fade out and others go the distance, and it resulted in something akin to a “State of the Union” address on the podcast, looking back and looking forward to the release of the game.
